Trilha dos Quilombos (Trecho 2 | Trilha Amazônia Atlântica)

Description
Section 2 of the Amazon Atlantic Trail is known as the Trail of the Four Quilombos, as it crosses 04 quilombola territories along the 56 km route. Starting from the Village of Caraparu, you will travel about 30 km along the PA-140 Highway, alternating between paved and dirt roads with vegetation, until you reach the Quilombo da Trindade, where you will find a 04 km densely wooded path with over 300 years of history. There, you can bathe in a beautiful stream of cold water. The route continues through the peaceful Community of São João da Cabeceira towards the Village of Macapazinho, where there is an excellent opportunity for a delightful swim in the Apeú River. In Macapazinho, the path follows dirt roads to the Quilombo do Pitimandeua. Although it is located about 10 km from the center of the city of Castanhal, the Quilombo is immersed in a preserved natural environment, with a stream of crystal-clear waters.
