Description

This trail is an extension of section 05 of the Volta das Águas de Rio Claro and leads visitors to the Beautiful Bridge, a ruin of the city of São João Marcos, submerged for the creation of the Ribeirão das Lajes Reservoir. Along the route, it is possible to see remnants of other ruins that preserve the memory of the city. It is the first contact that visitors can have with the history of the former municipality before actually arriving at the Archaeological and Environmental Park of São João Marcos.

Tips

Depending on the vehicle and ground conditions, it is possible to drive up to the gate of Cunhambebe State Park, but there is no parking space without obstructing the road, which passes through some private properties.
