Route

The route begins by leaving the boundaries of the Ubajara National Park and continues through its buffer zone. Along the way, the path develops within the territory of the Environmental Protection Area (APA) of Serra da Ibiapaba. Unlike the structured walkways and shaded trails of the dense forest at the Visitor Center (seen in the previous section), Section 11 features a terrain of secondary rural roads and yellowed dirt paths typical of the plateau's summit. The relief is characterized by false plains and gentle hills, with constant ups and downs as the trail crosses small valleys formed by the headwaters of mountain rivers. The visual landscape gains a strong transitional aspect between the preserved native forest and the high-altitude family farming zone. The climate remains mild and breezy due to the altitude of the mountain, but there is greater sun exposure compared to the core of the National Park. The region between Ubajara and Murimbeca is widely known for the production of tropical flowers, vegetables, and cold-climate fruits. Walking or biking here offers views of colorful greenhouses and plantations covering the gentle slopes of the plateau. The final destination is the locality of Murimbeca, a mountain village with a strong community identity, where the calm lifestyle at the mountain's summit stands out. It is an excellent spot to experience rural tourism and typical Ceará cuisine.
