Trecho 01 - Travessia Guadakan

Description
Section 1 begins at the RPPN Eliezer Batista, also known as Novos Dourados, a private natural heritage reserve that is part of the Amolar Protection Network. The area is managed by the Instituto Homem Pantaneiro (IHP), an organization that develops important actions for biodiversity conservation, prevention and combat of forest fires, scientific research, environmental monitoring, and strengthening traditional communities in the region. The first kilometers traverse the Pantanal plain up to the base of the Serra do Amolar. As the trail begins to ascend and the altitude increases, the landscape gradually transforms. The vegetation changes in composition, and wider views of the Pantanal emerge, revealing the vastness of the floodplain, its rivers, bays, and mountain ranges, offering a privileged perspective of this mosaic of ecosystems. The section ends at Camp 1, located at a strategic point on the mountain. From there, visitors are treated to one of the most beautiful landscapes of the crossing: a panoramic view of the Pantanal plain, especially striking at dawn and dusk when the light highlights the grandeur and unique beauty of the region.
