Description

Located approximately 13 km from the city of Alto Paraíso is the Serra do Pouso Alto, the highest point in the Brazilian Midwest at 1,676 meters above sea level. With a privileged view of part of the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, pleasant climate, and sublime beauty, the area features several high-quality quartz rock outcrops ideal for bouldering. There are over 200 climbing routes at different levels, ranging from V0 to V10, divided into six sectors: Primeiro Setor, Naja, Passagem, Vale das Águas, Cidade dos Sonhos, and Face Oeste. There is parking available on-site, and it is necessary to fill out the Risk Awareness Term available at the control station. The climbing sectors are located in a highly preserved area, untouched except for the impact already caused by the opening of the trail and the boulders. This is a region of rare beauty with diverse fauna and flora, within the limits of the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park. Be conscious, appreciate the location. Avoid unnecessarily moving boulders, stones, soil, and vegetation. Source: Climbing Guide - Serra do Pouso Alto (AECV). Photos: Vicente Leal E. Fernandez.
