Description

Turtle Rock is located in the Montanhas de Teresópolis Municipal Natural Park. Here you will find a beautiful 360º view of the interior mountains and the city of Teresópolis, with a view of the mountain range that forms the Woman of Stone, as well as a privileged view of the Camel Rock and other mountainous formations in the region. It is common to practice rappelling on the head of the Turtle, including a section that is negative.

Route

The Pedra da Tartaruga trail has a maximum elevation of 1,180 meters; it is short, 650 meters long, you can reach the summit in about 30 minutes, and it is considered an easy trail suitable for children, older adults, and beginners. On entering the trail, you find a wide, well-trodden, signposted path that keeps you oriented at all times. Drinking water and restroom at the start of the trail.
