Description
The Quilombola Community of Torres is located in the municipality of Tracuateua and is currently the only quilombola community in the area with official territorial recognition, covering 200.9875 hectares. The community's subsistence activities include agriculture, fishing, and the extraction of crabs and shellfish. The vegetation partly consists of flooded fields, which, following seasonal cycles (dry and rainy), are alternately dry and water-filled, creating an exuberant landscape. The Quilombola community offers excellent hospitality, allowing visitors to experience their rich culture and beautiful natural scenery.
