Parque Natural Municipal Fonte da Saudade covers 2.22 hectares, and the local ecosystem is human-altered Atlantic Forest. The park was created in 2000 to restore and conserve the Atlantic Forest ecosystem; develop recreation, leisure, and ecotourism; promote environmental education programs; and preserve the integrity of the landscape, among other goals.
