Description

Tumucumaque means "mountain rock". Brazil's largest national park lies on the border with French Guiana and protects headwaters of the Amapá River and areas of primary forest. A major highlight of the park, in addition to water activities, is the presence of red angelim trees, which can be between 500 and 700 years old and stand about 80 meters tall.
