Parque Nacional dos Campos Gerais

Description

Parque Nacional dos Campos Gerais protects the headwaters of rivers in the region and safeguards native grasslands of Paraná (the Campos Gerais) and remnants of Araucaria forest in the state. Access is through private properties that may charge admission, and only 0.1% of the Campos Gerais still exists. The grasslands have a fairly uniform appearance and occur together with the rock outcrops typical of the local landscape. The park also has campos rupestres (rocky highland grasslands).
