Parque Nacional do Superagui
Guaraqueçaba, Paraná

Description
The name of Parque Nacional do Superagui comes from Tupi-Guarani and means "lady of the fish". Located on an artificial island, the park has deserted beaches, restingas (coastal sandy-plain vegetation) and mangroves, and it is home to the black-faced lion tamarin. During the new moon and when there is no rain, you can see the bioluminescence of plankton in the sea at night. Whatever happens, do not go in November, which is horsefly season, when even some residents leave the island to escape the insects.
