Located between the basins of the Xingu and Tapajós rivers, Parque Nacional da Serra do Pardo lies in an area under constant threat of deforestation. Visits must be accompanied and require authorization from ICMBio. From July to November, the beaches of the Xingu River become wider because of the dry season. At the end of the high-water season, you can navigate through numerous igarapés (narrow forest streams).
