Description
Created in 1992, Parque Municipal Lagoinha do Leste lies entirely within a Permanent Preservation Area. As a result, its entire area is protected, and access by car and/or other motor vehicles is prohibited; all travel must be done on foot, along the trails. Since there is no infrastructure of any kind, visitors must bring water and food and remember to carry out their trash. This protects the natural beauty found in the park, which includes rocky shores, native forest, a waterfall, a lagoon, and the beaches, including the famous Praia da Lagoinha do Leste.
