Description
Located in the Parque Estadual Serra do Mar, the Núcleo Picinguaba covers an area of 47,500 hectares, corresponding to 80% of the total territory of the municipality of Ubatuba. Its landscapes range from the seacoast to the escarpments of the Serra do Mar, and it protects five stunning beaches: Brava da Almada, Fazenda, Picinguaba, Cambury and Brava do Cambury. In addition to its natural wealth, the Núcleo Picinguaba is home to traditional communities, such as the Vila de Picinguaba, Cambury, Sertão da Fazenda and Sertão do Ubatumirim, where you can still experience the traditional caiçara and quilombola cultures.
