Description
Created in April 2010 by Federal Law, MONA Cagarras aims to preserve remnants of the island ecosystem of the Atlantic Forest domain, its scenic beauty, and refuge and nesting areas for seabirds. Covering 91.23 hectares, the protected area includes 4 islands (Redonda, Cagarra, Palmas, and Comprida) and 2 islets (Filhote da Cagarra and Filhote da Redonda).
