Description
Estação Ecológica de Bananal was created to protect remnants of Montane and Upper Montane Dense Ombrophilous Forest, vegetation refuges, and endangered species of flora and fauna, as well as to carry out research and environmental education activities. It has two trails: the Trilha Cachoeira Sete Quedas, 450 m long, which leads to two waterfalls on the Córrego das Cobras, and the Trilha do Ouro, which preserves 800 m of the historic royal road (caminho real) and leads to a lookout.
