ARIE Granja do Ipê is an environmental, historical, cultural, and archaeological heritage site. It is a protected area with many attractions! At Granja do Ipê, all the springs belong to the Riacho Fundo microbasin and feed Lago Paranoá. The main streams in the area are the Coqueiro, Ipê, and Capão Preto streams. The ARIE was once heavily exploited precisely because of its natural resources, such as gravel for highway construction, water for irrigation, and land for food production.
