A little about the city
Alto Paraíso de Goiás is a Brazilian municipality located in the northeast of the state of Goiás. The city lies in the Chapada dos Veadeiros and, since 2001, within the Área de Proteção Ambiental - APA de Pouso Alto (an environmental protection area). It is located 230 km from Brasília and 412 km from Goiânia. Situated on the Planalto Central (Central Plateau) of Brazil, in a region characterized by the Cerrado biome, it offers a variety of natural attractions related to ecotourism.
