The Maracanã Lookout is named in honor of the first firefighters of the Park, who used the location as a support point for monitoring fires and, during their breaks, gathered to play soccer, in reference to Brazil's largest stadium. Today, the space invites visitors to contemplate the grandeur of the Atlantic Forest from a privileged view of the treetops.
From the lookout, it is possible to see, across the valley, the Pau Brasil Lookout, and the Barra River flows through the valley, previously known as the Brazil River. On rainy days and with higher temperatures, visitors can appreciate the delicate phenomenon of evapotranspiration, when the forest releases moisture into the air and forms a light mist over the forest.
As you contemplate this landscape, recognize the importance of protecting the forests and collaborating for the conservation of natural resources. Caring for the forest ensures abundant water, quality of life, and a more sustainable future for all. Location of the Attraction
