It is a natural attraction located in Parque Nacional do Pantanal Matogrossense, in the Poconé region, Mato Grosso. Access to the park and to any attraction in the surrounding area can be from either Mato Grosso (Porto Jofre) or Mato Grosso do Sul (Corumbá), always by boat. Caracará is about 280 m high, and the trail to the summit is 3.5 km (round trip), over very uneven, rocky terrain surrounded by low vegetation. The trail is of moderate difficulty. In general, because of the flooding common in the Pantanal, the trailhead is reached through a neighboring property. The summit reveals a different, beautiful, and unique landscape of the rivers and vegetation that make up the Pantanal
and its many waterways. Along the trail that skirts Morro do Caracará, there are rock engravings and paintings left on the stones thousands of years ago, still without concrete data on their dating and origin. The paintings show geometric shapes of humans and animals. Location of the Attraction
